Under-19 probables for further coaching named

The National Selection Committee Friday announced Under-19 probables who have been invited to attend the six Regional Academies and two coaching clinics at Quetta and Hyderabad. The Academies and coaching clinics will run between May 19 and June 28.

The Chairman of Selectors Aamer Sohail said it has been a painstaking process as his selectors went to every region to conduct trials. "We have selected the boys which we think are good enough and deserve an opportunity to attend Regional Academies and Coaching Clinics.

"I also feel sorry for those who couldn't make into the final list. But I want to assure them that there will be plenty of more opportunities in the future. They shouldn't loose heart and continue their hard work which will eventually pay them back."

Aamer said the reserves have been named so that they can train with the rest of the players. "They were borderline cases and to encourage them, they have been added. But the reserves will not be lodged in the academies nor they will get any allowances."

The academy boys have been directed to report to their respective chief coaches on Monday at 1000 hours while the boys picked for the coaching clinics have been advised to report at their centres at 1600 hours on Monday.
